Goats Say No To Alas And Thompson

By: ivan j | Comments 3 Comments

After a relatively quiet first international transfer window, Chivas usa managed to make moves for players, thus far, a disappointment.
Thompson appears to have injured his knee again in the middle of practice with the team. CDCUSA gave him a no at this point. They will review his situation in January of next year.

Practice Ends in Aggression Towards Journalist

By: Ivan | Comments No Comments

Apparently, a journalist from La Opinion was shoved and insulted by the CDCUSA pitch caretaker/manager (sorry, I’m not sure of the correct term) for taking pictures of Freddy Thompson’s closed practice in an adjacent field. According to CDCUSA rules, this is prohibited unless specifically allowed by the club.

Cubans to CDCUSA?

By: Ivan | Comments No Comments

WOW. I’m shocked. Really, I didn’t want to be optimistic or naive in thinking that the recent defectors of the Cuban National team, More and Alonso, would train with CDCUSA just because Galindo found success. I thought they would be hounded and snatched up first by other MLS clubs by now….LA soccer news delivers

Together we win, together we fall apart

By: Ivan | Comments No Comments

There isn’t much I can say after watching tonight’s game versus the Houston Dynamo. We didn’t penetrate deep enough to create, we relied too much on the long ball to Galindo, passing was off tonight, and our defenders were caught sleeping. Long story short, we got lazy/over confident/ too reliant on Galindo. Some things that [...]

Guatemalan captain to Chivas USA?

By: Ivan | Comments No Comments

As reported by La Red Deportiva, PrensaLibre and La Opinion, Freddy Thompson, Guatemalan national team captain and long time Comunicaciones player is reportedly on his way to L.A. to train with coach Preki. If you’re wondering why we didn’t see him in the 2007 Gold Cup, it’s because he was recovering from a knee injury. [...]
