By: Alex | Comments 4 Comments

Chivas USA defeated Santos Laguna 1-0 Wednesday in an important win.

Chivas USA needed the win to stay alive in the 4 team group. Chivas will take on New England on Sunday to see who advances.
Tough game, tough win. Sometimes the calls go against you (like against Pachuca), sometimes the go for you.
Ante = good

Incoming Goalie… or forward? Roberto Nurse to Chivas USA

By: Alex | Comments 5 Comments

So rumor has it that a young buck from Saprissa is on his way up to fill in for El Guzano. A little more than a rumor, seeing how it came from Vegara. A young keeper by the name of Keilor Navas.
As we all wait patiently, Chivas USA reinforced their attack.
What? Where did that [...]

Brad Guzan was interviewed on the field during the Clasico. This is what he stated when inquired about a potential move overseas.
“I know there’s some talks going on and obviously we’re kind of seeing what happens in the next couple of days here. I hope for the best result for everybody involved.”

Draw all over LA

By: Alex | Comments No Comments

Chivas USA draw in the most recent battle for LA. Chivas USA scored there only point through Ante Razov with a spectacular strike from outside the box. To be fair, he deserves goal of the week… again.

Brad was Brad stopping almost every shot on goal. Buddle snuck one past.
Shavar Thomas is back in the [...]

A win is a win, a win is 3 points

By: Alex | Comments 1 Comment

Chivas USA defeated the Earthquakes on Saturday at the HDC. Ante Razov curled a world class ball off a set piece past Joe Cannon and the wall late in the game to provide the only goal.

San Jose was a little tougher than expected, but Yallop has the quakes playing aggressive with pressure. Defense seemed impenetrable, [...]

Chivas USA knocked out of Open Cup

By: Alex | Comments 6 Comments

Once again Chivas USA were prematurely knocked out of the Open Cup by the Seattle Sounders.
Not surprisingly, only six starters were included in the line up. Not sure if Preki thought the first team needed a rest.
Is this a bad thing? Should we go after every tournament? Something should be said for fixture congestion. [...]

Carlos Ruiz to Chivas USA

By: Alex | Comments No Comments

Are you serious? Is this a joke? You people are playing a joke on me aren’t you?

JOKE
I know Steve started this, and Lalas I’m sure is snickering in the back. Is Preki in on it too?

Sounds like Broken Pup

By: Alex | Comments No Comments

Chivas USA take on the Seattle Sounders tonight in a rematch of the Open Cup Quarters.
Details Here.
The match will take place in Seattle and the wounded (including Wicky) will not travel. Additionally Burling and Razov get a day off. I don’t think there injured, and a little rest for Ante is probably a good [...]

Draw on NY

By: Alex | Comments No Comments

Chivas USA managed to draw at home against the New York Red Bulls.

Nick Green comments on the game here. He’s a little rough on the Red and White, but somewhat justified.
The Sideline Views included a clip of Preki’s post game for you to hear.
The game was tough, and a draw was probably fair. The [...]
