Amado Guevara Continues to Haunt Chivas USA

Amado got us good, real good.

Chivas USA needs an attacking midfielder, and that midfielder was suppose to be Amado Guevara.

Chivas USA gave away the opportunity to sign a designated player for five years in order to receive Amado’s services. Bob Bradley wanted to build a team around him. However, his off the field antics resulted him in falling out of favor with Preki.

Chivas USA had no option except to cut their losses. Trade Amado to Toronto FC for whatever the team could get for him. Toronto was willing, but Amado was not. So Chivas USA cut him from the team, and he found himself playing south of the border. Chivas USA were not compensated for dealing the slot..

Meanwhile, NY has enjoyed life with two DP slots, one taken by Juan Pablo Angel, the other occupied by Claudio Reyna.

Amado has since repented, and may find his way in Canada just yet. Rumor has him completing a deal soon with Mo Johnston’s side. This equates to Chivas USA competing against the competent midfielder without compensation.

Spooky…

Guevara was a waste of time, and poor choice by Chivas USA. I can see Toronto making the same mistake.
Leave this Ruiz in Honduras, 1 Ruiz is enough.

Guevara will get whats coming to him. Maybe Jesse Marsch will welcome him the way he welcomed Beckham.
