Bofo to Chivas USA? Well Let us Sit Down and Think about This

There has been some rumblings on the internet that Bofo, Mr. 100, could be suiting up for Chivas USA soon. The same player that let Guadalajara down. The same player that has been relegated to the bench, never to play for Chivas again. This is the same player that had so much promise, so much potential and a foot of gold to boot. So now that Bofo will not be playing for Guadalajara, it makes sense that he would be sent to Chivas USA. Right?
Well this is really not true. Furthermore, would we really want Bofo on our team? A very controversial player, who only performs when he feels like it. Preki already failed with a player like that, Guevara, so why would we want to put another problematic player onto our team. Understandably, Bofo would be a huge draw and help to put more people into the stands. But how healthy would it be to have him on our team? As it stands, Chivas USA is perceived as the bastard soccer league of the world, a place where old players go to revive their career. How would Bofo feel after being benched, to then be sent off to soccer Siberia?
Once again, I am sounding quite negative, however this is the reality of the situation. Further, it would seem that Bofo wants to be transfered to Europe. According to Fox Sports News, “Bautista, who led the team to its 2006 Apertura victory, wants to play in Europe, the player’s agent Juan Andres Samano told Record.”
So there you have it, a rumor has been dispelled.

I stumbled upon this article after searing for ‘Bofo‘ in google.
It’s filled with inaccuracies and I would hope this message gets across if not to the writer, then to the people who happen to stumble upon it like myself.
It’s understandable to criticize Bautista for his inconsistencies, but to go as far as to say that he “plays when he likes…” is a clear example of how misinformed the writer of this article is.
Vergara has recently stated that he regretted trading Bautista.
A player such as Bautista in the MLS would do more than draw fans. He’d change the dynamics of the entire team in a similar fashion that Blanco had on the Chicago Fire. As someone stated earlier, I don’t believe our friend David here has ever sat down to watch Bautista play or taken the effort to inform himself of the situation that was at hand back when this article was written. His extent of knowledge doesn’t go beyond his own interest(s), at least, within this article.

Uh…
I agree with you. The writer is long gone, but the post remains.
I do agree with David on several items….. like he may not get along with Preki.
Old post….
