Chiva-update
By: Alex | February 27th, 2008It’s Wednesday, and I thought I would share some of the team reading in no particular order.
Chivas USA lost to the Columbus Crew Saturday 2-1. Recap HERE.

The team began preseason training yesterday. By team, I mean all of our starters from last season including the previously injured Wicky, Bornstein, Galindo, Vaughn, and Nagamura. The only ones left are Pancho Mendoza and Alecko Eskandarian.
Bornstein calls in sick and goes on a tour of Israel, bumps into his old friend Benny and the boss finds out. He has a lot of explaining to do.
NEWS FLASH…. Guzan may go to Europe during the summer. Yeah…. I think I got that memo, but thanks for rubbing it in.
Bofo Bautista to Chivas USA. Are there any DP spots left in the league? All right Houston, RSL and Kansas City. Paper, rocks, scissors. C’mon, be cool.
Galindo considers Chivas home.
Sacha Klejstan makes the roster for the Olympic training camp.

Wow Schelotto didnt play again . . . cant wait to see what he does with Nico Hernandez up top.
What do you think the seasons chances of success would be if El Guzano moves to Europe mid season?

I LOVE that Beezy story because I would soooo do the same thing if someone dangled a free trip to {insert foreign city name here} in front of my face.
Also, re: Olympic camp. And a Klejstan shall lead them.

Bofo to ChivasUSA? I’ll believe it when I see it? Question, does the league accomodate its name and number rules for him so he can have BOFO 100 on the back of the ChivasUSA jersey?
Once again, how nice does that ChivasUSA v. Chivas mothership game look with Bofo in the game for us?
Guzan is gone, we’ll nee that xfer money to pay for Bofo nad hopefulll a better replacement than the bald guy on sidelineviews. Hopefully someone with skill and size.
Galindo, imo, is gone once Seattle begins play in 2009. Let’s hope we get something substantial like a DP slot and or trade picks.

Even if Brad goes, Preki said on several occasions that they had a plan B. They just didn’t have to use it. We’ll be fine. Plus the $4m plus will have long term benefits.
The article already stated that Seattle offered and Galindo declined. If he goes anywhere, it will be for more money, not to another MLS team. Possibly to the FMF.
I agree with your Bofo comment, but the rummors keep resurfacing.
