Chiva-Update
By: Alex | November 13th, 2007Chivas news update.
The Chivas USA - Chivas Guadalajara friendly has been confirmed … so they say. I haven’t found anything in English. Saturday November 17th, 8:00 pm Guadalajara time. No word if it will be televised.
Brandon Raphael was named as its new Director of Sales. I imagine this is the first of a few of Hunters changes.

Ramon Morales went on record stating he would like to stay with Chivas Guadalajara, but does not rule out a future move to MLS.
Chivas looking into a future move east. Possibly Santa Ana, but two years are left on the HDC contract. Talks are very preliminary.

Hey if Chivas is looking for a place to develop a stadium, I have the place for you…. The Pico Rivera Sports Arena.
There is freeway access from the 605 (between the 60 and the 105, with the 5 nearby). The road leads directly to the spot.
I don’t know about parking (the space for it), but I am sure if you are going to spend the money on building a stadium, you could buy some people out of their property.
Plus, it is just 10 minutes away from the Bell Gardens soccer complex, which Chivas could use as training grounds.
I would hate to have to drive to Santa Ana to see the games. I would do it, but I wish I didn’t have to.
Besides, isn’t their going to be a rail line built along the Whittier Blvd sometime in the future? They could do a little adjustment and have (wait for the train whistle) “next stop… Chivas”
