Chivas Demolishes Dallas, Yet the Team is still in Need of Work

By: David | May 27th, 2007

Coming back from yesterday’s game it was good seeing that Chivas was finally able to pull off a win. Not just a win, but a blow-out that will definitely help out in our self-esteem. But is that the entire story was this really a one-sided victory? NO.

Yesterday’s game was a step in the right direction, yet the team was very unorganized and very disjointed. If you were watching the game, it was very frustrating to see the midfield struggle. Nags is still a slow player and at times non-existent. However, he is a definitely better then Guevara who proved to be a cancer on the team.

The two goals that were scored came when FC Dallas collapsed and their defense opened up. Especially the second goal, where the Dallas keeper came out almost mid-field and stood there mouth agape as Razov chipped the ball into the goal. I will have to give it to Galindo for a beautiful strike, but that was the only solid strike in the entire game. Chivas’ attack looks like they did during the first season, when they would try and set up a play and then not be able to execute. I was always under the impression that Preki was an offensive minded manager; yet, last night’s game did not show this.

The other problem: where the hell are the fans? I understand it is Memorial Weekend, yet that was the least amount of fans that I have seen all season.

We pulled off a win last night, but we still have a long road ahead of us.

As for this blog, I am back. I will be posting daily now and I apologize with the huge drop off. Now I know I most likely lost all of my readers, but we can slowly try to gain them back.

So let us get this party started.

This was a lovely game to watch, particularly coming immediately after the ugly Colorado-LA snoozefest. I was actually rooting for Chivas. (Shhh! Don’t tell anybody!) That’s how much I hate Dallas and wanted to see them taken down. I thought Chivas played a pretty game with beautiful passing and a lot of heart. Yes, some things to work on, but hey. They beat Dallas!

Wow the LA/Col game must have been really good…..and yes I too hate Dallas so it was nice seeing them fall apart and allow for Chivas to take the win….but I would have to state that the passing was not as good as you say, there was a lot of sloppy passses and the first half was really sloppy….

I still cannot stand Preki…..but one thing I do not understand is why Laurent merlin is not being used as much…Oh well, I guess we will find out more as the week progresses.
