Chivas draw at Colorado
By: Alex | September 16th, 2007Chivas gain a man advantage at minute 13 and a set piece. Chivas begin 1-0. Where did it all go wrong.

Ante Razov
The man is a magician, and he has been responsible for many of the goals this season. If he is not scoring them, he is setting Galindo, Mendoza and Merlin up. Without him, the team will suffer.
Besides Ante not traveling with the team, there are a few more variables that dictated today’s result. It was the fourth game in 11 days. Galindo did not start. Suarez was out. Altitude. Coming down from the SuperClassico. Two delays in the game for weather. I’m not searching for excuses, but they are out there.
That being said, Colorado played a great game. They went a man down early, and did not stop. They played with heart.
Some positive notes from the Chivas USA. Merlin starts and played a great game. He created the set piece and worked hard for 60 minutes before being substituted.
Finally the team gets a week’s rest for the KC game. I will see you all there.

Wait, why didn’t Razov travel with them? Did I miss something?

I don’t know. The announcer stated that he recieved a “knock” at the SuperClassico. It could be due to fatigue. I’ll let you all know when I do.

The Sideline Views folks say “abdominal strain.” I think Razov got knocked down once during the Classico? If I remember, he got up pretty quick.
