Chivas USA can teach Wizards a few tricks

By: Alex | September 21st, 2007

Saturday the Chivas USA take on the Kansas City Wizards at the Home Depot Center. The Wizards compete against Merlin and his team of magicians in what we hope will be an exciting match.

Chivas USA try to clinch their post season while Kansas City tries to stay in the race. This game is important to both teams. Here is a clip of the last meeting.

Battles on the field

Return of the Emperor. Eddie Johnson looks to speed past the defense. El Emporador also AKA Claudio Suarez is back in the line up. Between this veteran’s skill and Jonny B’s speed, the battle should be intense.

The Cuban MLS Crisis. Veteran and US International Jimmy Conrad and his 3 defenders look to stop the one two punch of Razov and Galindo. The fast Cuban has turned the best MLS defense inside out.

Argentina Vs. Brazil. Argentine Marinelli will battle Brazilian Nagamura. This midfield battle may determine the outcome of the next world cup. Maybe not, but it will impact this game for sure.

Team Notes.

Chivas USA are missing Jesse Marsch due to yellow card accumulation. KC is without Morsink.

Well, you got the 1 part right?!? Eddie Johnson, although a very fast and skillful player, is too soft mentally to be a striker. The moment Brad Guzan stopped him twice, even when he was charging full speed on goal, he was looking to pass. No disrespect intended. But it is what it is…
