Chivas USA travel to Kansas City

By: Alex | August 8th, 2008

Chivas USA take on the Wizards this weekend.

Chivas USA have been struggling to fill the line up, dealing with injuries and suspensions.

There are two people that are considered out for the game, probably the lowest in the season. Raphael Wicky and Alex Zotinca will not be available for the game.

After that, there are a few probable’s, including three of our six strikers. Maykel Galindo, Alecko Eskandarian and Justin Braun. Ante Razov is considered questionable (knee), along with Claudio Suarez (minor concussion), who took a bad knock Saturday against Chicago.

So who starts?

I’m hoping the line up will look like this;

—–Someone———-Harris——–

—-Mendoza-Marsch-Vaughn-Talley—

—Bornstein-Curtin-Thomas-Burling–

————-Thornton————–

Someone = anyone of the available strikers to be subbed out at half for the other available striker (example, start Galindo, switch for Alecko at half).

I really want to see Bornstein back at defense and Mendoza up. It will take a few games for the two players to remember their roles, but we need a little speed in the middle.

Sacha is a big loss, and hopefully he will develop super human lungs while adjusting to the smog levels in China. Until then, the right side needs someone that pushes up. Vaughn holds, doesn’t push. Talley loves to go up. Atiba could do OK there as well, but who would play up front?

Don’t forget about Nurse, as he could see some playing time. Still fairly unknown in this league, we could see some good things.

I thought all the paperwork was cleared up. I am under the impression that he will be available. That is a very nice line up.

BTW, Chivas USA show is back on the air.

If Nurse is available, I want to see him play alongside Galindo. So I start Nurse instead of Braun.

P.S. Are you gonna join us at the Blackwatch?

    Come on the Chivas!!!!!

I can’t wait to watch Galindo again. I also love watching Talley. He had really added a lot to the team.
