Chivas vs Chivas

There has been a long standing theory that if Chivas USA ever met Chivas Guadalajara on the pitch, there would be a rip in the space time continuum and the universe as we know it would cease to exist. Some thought this would be impossible. However, I have created a time machine that would allow this to take place. Now I only need 1.21 Gigawatts!

On November 17th, the teams will put this theory to the test, for a cause that is worth it. The teams are planning a charity exhibition in Estadio Jalisco to benefit the victims of the Tabasco flood. The details have not yet been finalized.

What we do know is that the Chivas USA will be unable to field many players due to National Team call ups and injuries. Players expected to be out are Galindo, Razov, Marsch, Mendoza (all injured), Guzan, Klejstan, Bornstein, Nunez and Shavar (possible call ups). I do expect a competitive team to be playing, with the likes of Vaugn and Suarez in the back and Cunliffe and Merlin up front.

However we expect a great match for a great cause! More details when I get them.

  Wow - talk about making MLS look bad in Mexico. I think Razov might be fit by then. The game will be more exciting if they swap players to create two somewhat equal teams. I’d hate to see something like 12-0, Guadalajara.

  I’m not sure yet. We expect that a spanish channel may have it. A few fans have requested the front office do something up here at the HDC to generate additional funds.

  I have DIrectv and I can’t seem to find it!!! According to the Chivas USA website it will be on the radio at 1020 AM radio Univision.

  I actually raced to the gym hoping it was on regular espn (my gym gets that channel). Now I’m just disappointed and sweaty.
