Coach Marsch
By: Alex | December 18th, 2007Jesse Marsch may be considering a position with Chicago Fire.
With Osorio leaving the Chicago Fire last week, a void has been left that Jesse Marsch might fill. Rumors around the net talk about the possibility of him taking a position. No word what position, but I’m sure he would make a great assistant coach.
Jesse stated he would like to stay with Chivas USA for one more year. However, this was prior to the position opening up.
Jesse played for Chicago Fire from 1998 to 2005. the possible reunion would leave the Red and White with a hole in the midfield. I guess Chivas USA will have to give Wicky a call back. Yeah … maybe we do need you.

Good move for Marsch. Bad move for the goats. If he goes, I wish him luck.

Marsch said that he would be with Chivas USA one more year. I think he is a man of his word and I don’t think he will break it. Coaching will always be there for him, playing will not. I wish him well if he leaves, which I doubt. He wants to lift that MLS Cup which he has worked so hard for with Chivas USA!

I agree M. The only thing is coaching gigs don’t just open up, especially in a place he played for almost ten years. I’m guessing he might weigh his options.

I hate to say it, but my respect for Marsch went way up when he took out Beckham.

Marsch might not get a chance to coach the Fire, a team he has a certain fondness for.
I think he comes back. If not, I wish him luck coaching Blanco.
