FIRE PREKI!!! FIRE PREKI!!! FIRE PREKI!!!
By: David | May 6th, 2007This was the last straw, a horrible showing by Chivas today and completely on the shoulders of Preki. Preki is proving himself to be a pathetic manager that does not deserve to be the coach of Chivas.
It is time for Preki today and their current showing against DC should be reason enough to get rid of Preki. The team is in disarray; they are making bad penalties and just not playing.
Preki is a waste and does not deserve to coach! Get rid of him.

Anyone other than preki……he has ruined this team, one that should have been the top in the mls…..
Preki should not be allowed back to the hdc!

lol. Don’t you think your being a bit melodramatic?

nope……..even the legion is starting to realize preki needs to go….
how do we go from playoffs to crap so quickly? all preki had to do was continue bradley’s system…..there was enough talent on the squad to push them to the top

This is ridiculous. 5 games in, and you’re going to can him?
Hello, the team lost Palencia and Loquito and Señor Bob. Two coaches don’t have the exact same system.

We might have lost Palencia and Loquito, but we replaced them with good players………
Plus a real coach, one that actually knows what they are doing, never takes over and makes huge changes. They keep the system and work off of that. Preki made massive changes and the team has failed.

And another thing, if you do not have your team prepared to play against galaxy, your rival, then you do not deserve to coach. The players came out in the newspapers and stated that they were not prepared, which means the coach did nothing.
Today, against a team that had not won in the MLS since last Sept, to let them win that big is pathetic.
Preki is no head coach.

what was the deal with never seeming to run a set offense? all i saw was launching up the ball chance after chance, hoping for galindo’s speed to work wonders. add the fact that everyone was HELLA bunched up and *voila!* - you have an AYSO experience.

“you have an AYSO experience”
Great quote that sums up a lot of what we have seen the past two games. If this keeps up, I think we have our new moto.
Ok, it would seem that Preki loves giving other teams points:
“D.C. is a hard place to play,” Preki said. “We knew they were under some pressure to get some points. Last week we played the Galaxy, and they needed some points. This week, D.C. needed some points.” (mlsnet.com)
So when a team needs help, we are there to give it.

here’s the quote that makes me wonder:
“I couldn’t be disappointed,” said Preki. “If we play every game like that, we’ll be ok.”

If our coach is saying that……it is the same thing as last week when the players stated in the newspapers that they were not prepared for galaxy…..this is some structured program we are running here….like you said this is like AYSO, everyone is a winner!

Undefeated in 4 games now how do you feel?

Soccernut I agree…..talk about being prepared, don’t ya think that David and Jeff are not prepared to post early comments. Preki is getting a lot out of average players. The only team in the league without a Designated Player slot and for 5 years…thanks to Bradley and what a nice gift to New York. Ante Razov is not pulling his own weight and do you honestly think that a team and a coach three games in are going to have it all figured out. No way ! The new addition of Gallindo takes time and he has now become the go to guy and is getting better with every game. Don’t jump the gun ! Yes we need better players, but look at our soccer its good soccer……and speaking of systems, Bradley played most of the season in a 4-4-2 which is what they are playing this year.

How can anybody say that Preki needs to go? He brought a losing team to first place in his first year of being head coach. They play good soccer and just cause you do bad in playoffs doesn’t mean you should get fired. Only 2-time MVP in MLS and some of you think he doesn’t know the game. In my opinion, his 2007 Coach of the Year was deserved and all of you who disagree better have one hell of a reason.

David-
Do you think you can do a better job? If you aren’t a soccer coach or a manager, then how do you know when one should be fired? Until you work for an MLS team, I suggest you shut your mouth. Preki is one of the best players in history and he has changed the team in positive ways.
Let me know when you coach Galaxy, or Revolution and let’s see how well you do =) Until then, keep your opinions to yourself. You have no say here.
