Galindo receives Bionic Legs

By: Alex | January 11th, 2008

As many know, Chivas USA is in front of the curve regarding medical technology. What many of you don’t know is how far.

Galindo went under the knife last week for a “Sports Hernia” operation. The truth is Galido received a bionic implant in his thighs and knees. This implant will allow him to run even faster, sneaking behind defenses and scoring at least 30 goals next season.

In other new, Jonathan Bornstein also went under the knife. He will receive an artificial left foot with a GPS homing device. This will allow him to cross the ball, never done before by the international left back.

With these medical advances, Chivas USA is expected to win the Quintuple next year, MLS Cup, Supporters Shield, Superliga, Open Cup and the CONCACAF Champions League.

The surgeries were done by this guy.

On a serious note, both players had recent surgery and both went well. We will look forward to having them back next season at 100%.

Dude. This is so cool. As a female, I’ve always wondered what was meant by “sports hernia operation.” Now I know.

And the best part? The Galaxy have something like five players who’ve undergone the operation in the off-season.

Both Zidane and Figo will be undergoing similer operations…. and will start for the Red and White next year.

I needed to lighten the mood. Thanks for reading guys.

Didn’t Bourstein combine the words shot and cross to form some sort of superterm – “shoss” – or something similar? I forget.

And is that 30 goals per game for Galindo?

Man, you really had my hopes waaay up for about 30 seconds with this one.
