LA’s Number 1 team
By: Alex | September 13th, 2007What a great SuperClassico! Chivas has established themselves in the Home Depot Center, the Western Conference and as MLS Cup contenders. A full break down later, for now I want to focus on the goals.
Ante Razov. It was clear from the moment the Galaxy stepped on the field that they would take care of Galindo. But please, don’t forget about Mr. 107. Ante was due. After breaking past the Abel, Razov placed one in at minute 23. (PS. I don’t care what Wynalda says, don’t blame Abel).
Panchito Mendoza. For anyone that is wondering how this happened, please refer to the Battle for LA. Panchito is too fast. A little confidence late in the season goes a long way. Late in the game, Panchito breaks from a pass from Sacha and goes to town. We thought this was enough.
Laurent Merlin. I have never seen a harder working guy in front of the net. He deserved this a long time ago. After Galaxy tries to clear, it ends up in Merlins lap. One touch … Goalaso.
The Galaxy.
I mean this with the utmost respect. Landon put is heart on the field. Abel kept the back solid. Cannon cannot do it all by himself. Where was the rest of the team. I feel bad for those three, If the rest of the team could match the effort put out by these gladiators, we would have seen a great game.
