Nothing New ….

By: Alex | November 30th, 2007

Chivas USA have been trucking along. A few updates off the top of my head.

Chivas lost to the Fresno Fuego. I’ve gotta give some props to San Patricos that trucked up for the game. The Chivas USA deserves fans like you guys! Silver lining to the cloud… Assistant Coach Martin Vasquez scouted a couple of Brazilians that might find their way in a Red and White jersey. A couple of big guys. You know, those kind that can make the best from set pieces. Something the team has lacked. Check it out.

Chivas USA star Pancho Mendoza may end up in Mexico by next season. That’s all I got.

Suarez wants to come back to the Red and White, things looking good, but not official.

Preki is off scouting in some dark hole somewhere. No one knows where but there is a rumor it involves Europe. I’m going to start the Wicky rumor again. Or, maybe he is visiting family on the company account.

A little tribute to Burpo.

Alex!!! I’m internets catching up right now and found this amazing awesome story on dunord:

Jorge Flores who scored that goal for the USA U20’s against Argentina is the kid who won the reality TV show contest to play for Chivas USA last spring! This guy is for real! What an amazing story! I guess these kinds of player are out there. I love it.

    w00t!

There was also an official post on the Chivas USA website about it. Great job Jorge “El Sueno” Flores!!!

I recall him getting his first minutes this summer and his first touch was a shot on goal that missed the far post by about 6 inches.

I can’t wait until the Chivas youth system starts producing quality players and makes the “draft” seem unimportant.

Korner Pocket is reporting that Panchito is gone & that Ramon coming in his place is still up in the air (it would be nice because its a Left Mid for a Left Mid)

KP also reports that Suarez wants more Mexicans on the team, and someone commented that Mexican players need to want to come to MLS and earn their spot…. and the ownership needs to put out the $$$$$$$$ to get them here.

Anyone hear about the 6′2″ midfielder from Portland? Are we going to land this guy or is San Jose going to snake him out from under us.

    New thread…New thread……
