One HAPPY Chivas USA fan!
By: Alex | August 4th, 2008No, I didn’t start sniffing glue.
Yes, I know we lost.
Yes, I know we looked bad.
Alecko Eskandarian and Maykel Galindo played 20 minutes of the match! And for two rusty players that haven’t played all season, they looked great! They threatened the defense, made intelligent runs and had a few looks on goal.
This might turn out to be a great season after all!
OK, about the game. For the most part, we looked bad. But what do you expect? The only players that shined during the injuries were Ante Razov and Sacha Kljestan, and neither of them were available.
Does anyone know what happened to Nurse? Thornton looked good. The team will get there. (I hope).

ZACK did OK, but I don’t have much confidence in him. Seems a step slow, and too mild-mannered.

That’s because we are all going through Guzan withdrawals.

I am reserving judgement, I want to see him play a little more. Although he does have a proven track record. One thing that is good about Zach is an addition to the goalkeeping position, creating competition. This might push Kennedy the same way Burpo pushed Guzan.

Good points about Zack. I am a little worried about him, but on the other hand, there was some real spotty play by our defense at times and he made some saves. The goal that went through was not as much him as it was defenders.
Anyhow, let’s hope that he or Kennedy can step up. We need a win desperately against KC. I am hoping Razov will be back, that we will see Nurse, but more than that we need Galindo and Escandarian.

keeper coach stated on Chivas Blog that whoever worked the hardest during the week would get the start. Nothing wrong with that.
