By: Alex | December 4th, 2007

We all saw Panchito Mendoza turn into Pancho, one of Chivas USA’s most valuable assets. Now we will see Pancho apply his trade in Mexico.

Mendoza’s move is now official, as the team loses another player.

Chivas USA’s Preston Burpo left for San Jose a few weeks ago.

Pancho, good luck.

Korner Pocket also reports that Suarez wants more Mexicans on the team, and someone commented that Mexican players need to want to come to MLS and earn their spot… and the ownership needs to put out the $$$$$$$$ to get them here.

I think Suarez needs to start having sit-downs with Ramoncito, Bofo, and anyone else of quality to convince them of the strength of our league.

I think that we need to start putting out a little $$$ for some quality players. The Chivas USA youth system is going to need at least another 5 years to put out some quality American born Mexicans whose parents see this as an opportunity for their kids to play professional futbol and get noticed by FMF or El Tri (especially since Mendoza is now returning to Guadalajara).

By the by… I hope Flores (El Sueno) and Hamilton get some playing time this year and flourish. Especially since Flores scored his first international goal, and Hamilton scored 2-3 times in 11 minutes in the charity game.

I agree with everything. The most interesting thing about KP’s article was Morales. He is not really in the plans for the team, and may not be with Guadalajara next year.

    I can dream, can’t I.
