Recipe for Landycakes (First Try)
By: David | March 30th, 2007I have returned in a good mood, with midterms over and spring break in sight it is time to unveil my first big endeavor!
A recipe for making Landycakes!!
As with any first time stab at making a recipe, there can mishaps, misjudgments and just plain screwups. But the key is we are trying to master a recipe that can spread happiness and joy to everyone. Being the first major project for the Chivas blog at The Offside I invite everyone to send me your recipes (teamlosangeles@gmail.com) so that we can work together and create the prefect meal.
Well here goes nothing, my first try, I hope you enjoy it:
Recipe for Landycakes
Ingredients
1/4 tablespoon of talent
1 tablespoon of on-field vision
4 tablespoons of media hype
1 pound of failure in overseas ventures
1 ounce of arrogance
1 cup of spoiled vegetables
1 sprinkle of salt
Preparation
Remember that when mixing ingredients, some might slosh onto the table, but that is ok, because there is always a case of lost materials.
Go to your cabinet and pick out a large bowl, dump all of the ingredients into the bowl and start to mix with a wooden spoon. When everything has combined and there is a pinkish tinge you are now ready for the next step.
Taking a spoon, scoop out the mixture and place onto a cookie sheet. Remember that size does not matter.
Place into oven at 400 degrees for a period of time until it starts to burn. This is key, your Landycakes will not be ready for consumption until they are burnt, smoking and falling apart. When the kitchen has been filled with the thick smoke of pretentiousness you know that the cakes are done.
Take out of oven and place onto a paper plate (or if you want to get fancy, pull out one of those plastic plates you can pick up at your neighborhood Smart & Final) and douse in 31 year old Worcestershire sauce.
Now you are ready to serve it to all of your friends!!

Remember guys that this is my first try and that we can really perfect this meal!

You need to add a little bit of love from his wife to make it taste sweeter.
