RSL defeat Chivas USA
By: Alex | June 16th, 2008Chivas USA take no points against RSL.
Tough loss, reminds me a lot of our loss against Kansas City in the play offs last year. RSL went up by one and then 11 players sat behind the ball. Frustration.
Like always, trying to stay on the positive. Players are inching their way back to health, and both Wicky and Bornstein saw minutes.
What do you think about the line ups? Bornstein and Mendoza switched positions?

WTF are you doing playing Johnny B, who is coming back from injury and not in the normal flow of things, as our LM? Put him as LWB, and let him get into the flow of things. If you are so impressed with Mendoza at LWB, then put Jorge Flores in at LM. He did score 3 goals in 4 games (which should have been reason enough).
Johnny B did not look comfortable at all as a LM. He didn’t move forward with the ball, his touch was off (Hey Johnny, don’t take it personally, I think you’re a GOOD LWB when you are in form) and wasn’t combining well with the forwards.
I hope Harris was ok, but wouldn’t it have made more sense to pull either Nagamura or Marsch in CM, and leave Harris at RM to make some slashing diagonal runs for Wickey to target?
I know this is Monday Morning Coaching, and I feel bad for doing so, but this has been bugging me ALL FRICKIN WEEKEND! If it wasn’t for my father’s day present (a mini-kegerator, & the love of my wife and children of course), I would have been inconsolable.

Where was “El Sueno”? Didn’t he prove himself out there the last 3 matches?

Pocketkings, you said it well.
I’m nobody to question Preki but what the hell?
Is Sueno in the doghouse?
