Rumor Alert Extended!! Chivas USA is Possibly looking at Zidane, Nedved, Figo, Rivaldo, and Sanchez
By: David | April 14th, 2007The rumor just keeps on growing as Antonio Cue recently talked with La Opinion and ESPN Deportes about possible trades. It would seem that the Chivas FO is making an effort to go after Zidane before the transfer window closes Monday. And it would seem that this is not just a rumor, as Cue told ESPN Deportes that they have sat down with Zidane and discussed the possibility of signing him. Now as you all know, Galaxy is also interested in Zidane as noted by Laurie, so this will make for an interesting salary fight. Cue claims that Chivas USA will fight as hard as they can to gain the rights to Zidane, regardless of their opponents.
If they cannot get him now, Cue stated that there will be an effort to go after Zidane in July. And if that falls apart, Cue has stated that he will not give up and has made it clear that they will be signing a big name player. Other options that Chivas USA is looking at:

Luis Figo
Oswaldo Sanchez
Ronaldo
Roberto Carlos
Raul

So the fight begins. We shall see what happens, monday will be very interesting as Chivas pushes hard to get Zidane. Money talks Laurie, and you must remember Vergara has some very, very, very deep pockets.
