SuperClasico TONIGHT!

Chivas USA take on the Galaxy tonight… at least what is left of the Chivas USA.

The depleted team is trying to field a team, and barely has enough numbers for the pitch and to fill the bench.

Who is out? Jonathan Bornstein is the latest addition with a Left thigh strain. Lawson Vaughn is also added to the list with a knee sprain and it looks like Alecko Eskandarin is having trouble recovering from his hernia. The two usuals are out, Zotinca and Wicky. Suarez is listed as questionable due to the knock from a week ago and hasn’t trained much this week. Ante is listed as probable, but also has not trained to much this week (-credit Luis Bueno) Add Flores into the mix, Kljestan on Olympic duty and the fact that Galindo could play but is listed as probable, the grand total is TEN. Yikes!

So can Chivas USA field a competitive team? The line up doesn’t look too bad. Here is one option.

45 minute sub for Galindo

Bench: Galindo, Kennedy, Curtin, Chiles, Ebert, Hamilton

It’s not the deepest squad, but it could do. Any other ideas are welcome, because I’m running out of them.

Defense is fairly solid. Midfield won’t look too bad either. Here is the key. Nurse knows how to make runs and has proven that he can score. Hopefully, he can link up well with Galindo and the second half could push us on top.

Hopefully no one get’s injured in today’s game.

  I think this season is a wash for Preki. But I’m in LA and will be at this here thing. Can I still get a shirt off one of the injured player’s back?

  Alex, I would go with that line-up as well. We need these 3 points. I am very confident that Nurse will do good this match!!! JOIN THE UNION ULTRAS IN PARKING LOT 6 AND/or SECTION 101 FOR THE GAME!!!

  It is amazing how one team can be in 1st place one year and then the following year, just be god awful. I agree there have been alot of injuries for the chivas, but Preki is still responsible for who he puts on the field. Besides Razoz (well, when he wants to play) the other forwards are trash! Atiba Harris =terrible! The best thing about watching the chivas is Zach Thornton! Hey Zach, stop spending your spare time at the buffet and hit the tredmill. VIVA LOS CHIVAS!!
