Understanding the Trade Rumors (Why Chivas will fight to the End for Zidane)
By: David | April 16th, 2007It would seem that everyone is jumping on the trade rumors bandwagon, as multiple theories are coming up. Yet, one rumor is starting to evolve into reality: Zidane. As has been noted by Laurie and numerous other blogs/ media sources the Galaxy have been pursuing Zidane. They, however, are not the only ones as Antonio Cue has made it clear that Chivas will sign Zidane.
I have talked with a few media sources and they too confirm Cue’s intentions on pursuing Zidane, as well as Figo and Nedved. Though today is the deadline for the trade window, as I stated in a previous post Cue will make an effort to acquire Zidane by July if today falls through. Zidane is Cue’s first target and throw everything he can so as to compete against the other teams.
Things are starting to heat up in the MLS as there are numerous trade rumors and battles. Who ate all the Cupcakes? has written a comprehensive post about the numerous existing rumors. For once there are activities outside of the pitch that have proven to be exciting.

I just “ate the cupcakes” and found it interesting to see that of all players they decided to link Chivas to MARTIN PALERMO (aka Chivas-hater extraordinaire). what irony!
