Update/Recap of Chivas USA Name Petition

So this is a brief morning update of the Petition progress. As you all know we have created a petition to change the name of Chivas USA so as to better embrace the surrounding community and the fans. Thus far we have 30 signatures and that is not enough. Understandably this is just the beginning but we need to get the word out and we need more people to sign the petition. If everyone could get at least 5 people to sign, that would further boost our potential and spread. So let us make it a goal to reach 100 signatures in the next few days.

Also, I have emailed the Los Angeles Times, La Opinion, Soccer 365 and LA Soccer News and posted on bigsoccer and the Legion’s forum. Use this post as a way in which to discuss how we will progress. I am going to be out until the afternoon.

  Just got back, thanks Gly. Well it looks like it is catching on or at least creating some interest. We have 39 signatures right now and I have been getting some good response in the Legion site. What I think people are realizing is that this is an issue that needs to be dealt with.

  What I am starting to see is this could end up becoming an MLS wide issue. Thanks for your help!
