WANTED: Goalie, preferably able to stop a soccer ball
By: Alex | March 12th, 2008Chivas USA are in search of a goalie or maybe even two. Brad Guzan is recovering from an injury sustained in practice a week ago and the team is in search of a goalie, any goalie, preferably with some experience.

According to Nick Green, the Chivas USA are cautiously optimistic that Brad Guzan will be available at the start of the season. Currently there is no official back up for Guzan, but the team is about to announce the signing of Lance Parker. Lance is a 6′ 4″ goal keeper out of Missouri State, a kid with potential.
On the subject of goal keepers, 16-year old Sueno finalist Henry Melendez is showing some promise at a young age. The keeper has a great attitude and could be the future Brad Guzan for Chivas USA.
In other news, Chivas USA are currently fifth in the 2008 season, actually in FIFA 08 for the Playstation 3. I just thought everyone should know. The team is at week four and trailing five points behind leader Toronto FC.

You should start an offsides playstation tournament.
Brad won’t be ready by the start of the season, even if he gets that wierd platelet injection. I say he’s out the first 3 weeks. Time for that backkup plan, Preki. I wonder if Preston Burpo is maniacally laughing his ass off up here.
At least this is happening now. Chivas can recover if they start out the season a bit shaky.
